Sixteen of the most exciting artists in the Twin Cities breathe new life into the work of Anton Chekhov through inspired interpretations, inventive adaptations and original multi-disciplinary performance.
Genevieve Bennett, Curator is a free-lance director/producer and theatre instructor based in Minneapolis. Genevieve holds an MFA in Directing from Columbia University and a BFA with Honors in Theatre from Experimental Theatre Wing/Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. While at Columbia she worked extensively with Anne Bogart and studied Chekhov with scholar and Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, Brian Kulick.
Kristin Van Loon, Advisory Committee is the Artistic Director of Bryant Lake Bowl and a dancer/choreographer based in Minneapolis. Her 14 year choreographic collaboration with Arwen Wilder - HIJACK - has received support (MRAC and Bush, McKnight, Jerome Foundations), critical praise (NYTimes, City Pages' Choreographers of the Year...), and tours nationally and abroad. She is also a performer in the work of Morgan Thorson, Justin Jones, Karen Sherman, Body Cartography and has toured internationally in the work of Shawn McConneloug and Robin Steim. Kristin serves on the Board of Bedlam Theatre and holds a BA in Geology (1993) from Colorado College.
David Lind, Advisory Committee runs TC Theatre and Film, a popular Twin Cities website featuring on-line classifieds, resource directory, and a searchable database of artists and technicians. TC Theatre and Film assists with the running and organizing of the Twin Cities Unified Theatre Auditions and has co-hosted two Theater Town Halls which provided opportunities for theatre organizations and individuals to share feedback with each other about the perceived needs of the Twin Cities theatre community. David is also an actor, director, playwright, and teacher and has worked with Mixed Blood Theater, Teatro del Pueblo, Theatre in the Round Players, Starting Gate Productions, Theatre Limina, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, the Cromulent Shakespeare Company, Rosetown Playhouse, SteppingStone Theatre, the Grand Marais Playhouse, The Phipps Center for the Arts, Lex Ham Community Theatre, Off Broadway Musical Theatre and CLIMB Theatre.
Deb Enrooth, Advisory Committee is the mother of 2 active teenagers. Her career in finance and risk management spans over 20 years. She is Assistant Vice President Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and currently completing final requirements for a Six Sigma Green Belt in Project Management. Deborah graduated with honors from College of St. Catherine. Deborah is active as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Heartbeat Studios Travel Education Program, and is a Board Member for The Children's Theatre Company Annual Curtain Call Ball.
Jaime Kleiman, Advisory Committee is a freelance arts journalist and theatre critic. She is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association and the theatre columnist for Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. www.jaimekleiman.com.
Terry G. Tofte, Advisory Committee has been an educator for thirty-six years and a public school administrator for thirty-two years. He taught for the Blake Schools, was the Minnesota State Director for the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, was a building level administrator with the Minnetonka Public Schools and a central office administrator in Rosemount/Apple Valley/Eagan and Edina. Prior to joining the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists as its executive director he served as superintendent of school for the Northfield Public Schools. Tofte holds a B.A. in philosophy for Concordia College (Moorhead), and B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota. He has received numerous services awards from both school districts and professional associations and was a Principal Leadership Program Fellow with the Bush Foundation.
